    About this course

    We believe live modelling sessions are the perfect way to learn enterprise architecture modelling. Under the supervision of Rob Vens, one of the worlds most experienced trainers and enterprise architect practitioners, we work in small groups on realistic case studies. You will build serious enterprise architecture models using ArchiMate® and other modelling languages and learn by doing, not by being bombarded with tons of theory with the occasional exercise.
    The live sessions are weekly 4 short (2 hour), intensive and interactive online sessions. In order to benefit optimally we do not offer the sessions separately, but in a series of 4 in one-week intervals, where we will collaboratively work on the selected case.
    Note: the language used in the live sessions is Dutch or English.

    Prerequisite knowledge or experience? Not required!

    The live sessions work as effective if you are just beginning to work with enterprise architecture, or if you already have some experience. As trainers ourselves we learn a lot from these sessions as well, if only because we encounter questions we never asked ourselves. In fact the best groups for these sessions are those with mixed levels of experience and seniority.

    As trainers officially accredited by The Open Group (who is the maintainer of the ArchiMate® standard), we have been giving ArchiMate® training through our partners (see below) for years, as well as authoring the ArchiMate® courses training material which is used by various training institutions. 
    While that training is certainly effective, especially if your goal is to become ArchiMate® Certified, the general need for more practical exercises and examples is often expressed.

    Well, we've heard you! This course is all about hands-on. Doing. With the minimal theory to do it better, guided by a trainer who is applying ArchiMate® in his daily work as an enterprise architect.

    Note that we remain available throughout to answer questions and help with your modelling for the period the ticket is valid (2 months from registration). Also we provide a discussion forum during that period which can be used to share with the trainer and the other participants.

    Looking to get certified?

    If your goal is primarily to pass for the official exams from The Open Group to become a certified ArchiMate® practitioner this workshop is not for you. You should instead participate in an officially accredited ArchiMate® training. That will cover everything you need to prepare for the exams. It is delivered through our partners. Both in-person classes, hybrid sessions and online formats are available.  

    And after that? Come back and get fluid in the language with our hands-on sessions!

    Course Curriculum

    Sessions are scheduled on a regular basis on Fridays. 
    We will schedule the series with 4 or more participants.
    The introduction and preview is available at no cost. We discuss the format of the sessions, your needs and questions, and you get to meet your trainer, so you can make an informed decision that this workshop will meet your expectations.
    Note that you will have access to the e-learning environment for 2 months after participating in the course.
